Sights of Racine

Well, it wasn't a quiet boring weekend in Racine, cuz Kel came to visit yeah! Here is us by Lake Michigan (just 3 miles from my place) before our swim:

Um, just kidding about the swim - maybe in about 4 months :)
Two people called us twins today. Much better than being called her Mom, I must say.

We also went to check out the Wisconsin stores:

As the saying goes, its all fun and games until someone gets abducted by aliens (or something like that) - fortunately Kel escaped mostly undamaged:

So, its snowed 3 times in my first week here and I've barely seen the sun, but at least I have DVR!
Church was good this morning, I think I'm going to try some more churches over the next few weeks.
Yeah for Sunday night! I've already done laundry, so I just get to bum out for a while and read, wahoo!

i want to know who came up with the store name 'Ye Olde Cheese Box'. am i the only one who has forgotten about cheese in the meat/cheese box in the fridge? ewww... not a pretty thought, and certainly not an inspiring name for a retail store. then again, what do i know? ;) it was a fun weekend- i still can't believe you and i both live in wisconsin!!!

What, you mean you didn't join the Polar Bear Club? I did that when I was 12 or 13, over Christmas vacation, my brother, ttwo friends we've known since birth, and I jumped into the outdoor pool at a hotel in Ohio and stayed in for less than a minute. Luckily we were able to run right back in the door and jump in the indoor pool/hot tub, so no real harm done. But still, we can say we've done it :) You know, I'd totally do that again... make sure that when I visit it's nice and cold, and we'll find some cold body of water for me to jump into.
